We had a very nice trip to Germany, including visits with two ham radio related businesses — Funkamateur Magazine and Box 73 in Berlin, and Difona Communications in Frankfurt. Difona is a dealer for the MK-1, and Box 73 is selling our PicoKeyer-Plus and UKA-2 kits. I want to extend our sincere thanks to Knut DG0ZB, Alfred DJ3YM, Peter DL7JSP and Michael DJ2VA for their warm hospitality, the tours of two very interesting cities, and for taking the time to talk to us (mostly in English!). I promise to work on my German for the next visit!
The German ham radio scene seems to be very much alive and well. There are a couple of excellent magazines being published, including one for the experimenter and home brewer. I wish we had a magazine like Funkamateur in the US!
