Product News

I have a couple of projects in the works, trying to get them completed or at least in the prototyping stage before the end of the year…

ID-O-Matic II news

Well, folks, somehow I have managed to ship a dozen or so ID-O-Matic II orders with the wrong firmware in the chip. I spent some time today trying to figure out how I managed to burn a whole run of chips (fortunately far more than I have shipped) with firmware for the old board. Status Update

Things have been crazy busy around here for a few weeks now. I’m trying to keep caught up on shipping orders, but to be honest I am frequently falling a couple of days behind – so if your order doesn’t ship immediately, I apologize in advance.

I will soon be shipping Rev B of the . . . → Read More: Status Update

ID-O-Matic II Updated Documentation

If you have an ID-O-Matic II, please check for an updated manual. The original version (100227) had a couple of errors. The schematic diagram was incorrect, and the table on p. 5-6 showing the terminal block connections was wrong. The corrected manual is here. My apologies for any confusion.

Back up to speed!

After a 17-hour day on Saturday and another 8 hours on Sunday, I now have all of the ID-O-Matic II backorders filled and shipped. I also have all orders placed while I was gone last week on their way. As of this morning I’m current on all shipping, just waiting on the MasterKeyer boards so . . . → Read More: Back up to speed!

I’ll be bagging kits this weekend to start shipping Monday. Pictures of the assembled kit and a link to the documentation in PDF format are now available on the . . . → Read More: ID-O-Matic II will ship 3/1/10

The Backorder Situation

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been stacking up FAR more backorders than I am comfortable with. For that, I apologize. Demand for the MK-1 after the QST product review exceeded even my best-case assumptions, and a PCB redesign to speed up build time and increase reliability complicated matters even further.

ID-O-Matic II to replace the ID-O-Matic

The boards are ordered for the ID-O-Matic II, and we’re down to the last few ID-O-Matic kits. I’m working on the last few changes to the firmware, trying to get it “just right”… and of course still need to write a good share of the manual. I think this is going to be a very . . . → Read More: ID-O-Matic II to replace the ID-O-Matic

Kit News

Just some quick news regarding some of the kits…

The PicoKeyer-Plus kit is in stock, doing well, and I anticipate carrying it for some time to come. I may make a couple of PCB refinements to make assembly even easier. The ID-O-Matic is in stock, with plenty left. I hope to have a minor firmware . . . → Read More: Kit News
